Also known as “smart” glass or “switchable” glass, PDLC privacy glass is electrically switchable glass that changes from transparent to translucent with the push of a button. When switched on, the glass diffuses light and provides greater privacy.

Taylor Made is incorporating the privacy glass into its power roof systems, doors and hatches as a replacement for traditional window shades. It integrates seamlessly into existing products, both flat and curved, and permits novel design approaches while meeting ISO 12216. The privacy glass can effectively reduce glare and prevent harmful UV rays from fading fabrics.
