FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

TAYLOR MADE SYSTEMS EXPANDS LINE OF POWER-ACTUATED PRODUCTS

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. — October 11, 2007 — Taylor Made Systems will showcase its expanded line of power-actuated products at IBEX 2007, October 10 - 12 in Miami, Fl.

“Since we introduced the popular power-sliding roof system for boats in 2002, Taylor Made Systems has been a leader in the development of power-actuated products for marine applications,” said Mike Oathout, vice president, sales and marketing, Taylor Made Systems.

The Flush-Glazed Heavy-Welded System with Sliders is glass bonded to the outside of the window frame to make it flush with the adjacent fiberglass and includes multiple powered sections with a variety of options. Underneath the fully-integrated fixed, hinged and sliding panels is a robust welded frame specifically designed for larger boats. The sliding side windows can be designed to run horizontally, vertically or slanted; and can be power-actuated so that the top section slides down, the bottom section slides up, or either section can slide forward or aft. Additionally, power can be added to the center panel — which is also available as a walk-thru door — and stainless steel top trim can be added for open boats.

The Stainless Steel Swinging Door and Power Drop Window unit have modern all-glass looks outside and mirror-finished 316L stainless steel inside. It’s available with one or two doors surrounding a power drop window section that leaves behind absolutely no vertical post when the window is down, providing a fully open feel between the salon and aft deck.

The Power Pop-up Vent Window comes in various flat or curved sizes and has a fully- welded frame. Installation is a simple drop-in procedure and the windows quickly open (2 - 4 seconds) to an ample 4- to 5-inch vent position. It’s fully adaptable to currently designed manual pop-out/-up windows and can be used for both roof, deck and side window applications.

Additionally, the Power Roof System, with easy, fully-welded drop-in construction, built-in internal drainage system, and self-contained electric drive features a new generation of extra-safe, custom electronic controls.

“We have spent countless engineering and development hours on these ground-breaking projects,” said Oathout. “They showcase our unique core capabilities in design and manufacture of welded-aluminum and tempered-glass products that will be the future direction of glazing systems for luxury boats and quite possibly, given time, for the vast percentage of medium to large powerboats.”
