| GLOVERSVILLE, NY — May 14, 2004 — Taylor Made Glass & Systems Ltd, a division of Taylor Made Systems, has announced plans for a major expansion of its glass manufacturing facility in Templemore, Ireland.
A large glass furnace, manufactured by Tamglass Group, will be installed at the Taylor Made plant later this year, increasing its glass-making capacity by over 50 percent, according to Tom Peters, general manager of the Ireland operation. The expansion will create ten new jobs at the Templemore factory. The new furnace will be capable of handling very large sheets of glass, and will produce low-to-medium volume complex curved tempered glass for the pleasure marine and off-highway vehicle markets. "We are continuing to make major capital investments in upgrading and expanding the manufacturing capacity in our glass making plants," said Randy Parker, president of Taylor Made Systems. "The expansion of our plant in Ireland will improve our competitive position and allow us to continue our aggressive marketing approach into the European market," he added. The ISO 9002 certified Templemore operation specializes in production of curved tempered safety glass and boat windshield systems. In addition to the plants in Ireland, Taylor Made Systems also operates factories in New York, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, New Zealand and Australia.
