FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

TAYLOR MADE SYSTEMS DEVELOPS FIRST INTEGRATED BOAT WINDSHIELD
AND WAKEBOARD TOWER SYSTEM

GLOVERSVILLE, NY December 9, 2004 At IBEX 2004 Taylor Made Systems unveiled a new integrated windshield and wakeboard tower system for boats.

The patent-pending Performance-Series Integrated Tower System was developed by Taylor Made Systems, the world’s leading boat windshield producer, in collaboration with Xtreme Marine, a major builder of wakeboard towers.

"Wakeboard towers are among the fastest growing OEM accessories for boatbuilders," said Randy Parker, president of Taylor Made Systems. "Our market research determined that a major consumer complaint with wakeboard towers is that they can impede the vision of the boat operator due to their size and design. We have overcome this problem by anchoring the tower directly into the windshield wing frames."

The Integrated Tower System consists of a Taylor Made windshield and wakeboard tower with a special ball joint that attaches the tower legs to the strengthened windshield wings. The joint allows 20 degrees of movement laterally and 180 degrees in the fore and aft direction for maximum flexibility in mating the tubular tower legs to the windshield frame. The collars allow one end of the tower to be released for folding, or both ends for complete removal.

The unique joint design, which is patent-pending, permits electrical wires and cables for lights, speakers and antennas to be routed internally without exposure to the salt air and environment.

"With the Integrated Tower System, boatbuilders can install wakeboard towers, not as an afterthought but as part of a totally integrated package. The result is easier installation, a cleaner looking design and increased customer satisfaction," said Tony Williams, vice president and general manager of Xtreme Marine.

"We want to give full credit to our partners at Xtreme Marine, who have gone the extra mile in researching, developing and testing this system," said Parker. "Their expertise in tower design and construction played a key role at all stages of the process."
