FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

TAYLOR MADE SYSTEMS AND TREND MARINE PRODUCTS JOIN FORCES

GLOVERSVILLE, NY – September 13, 2004 – Taylor Made Systems, the world’s leading supplier of glazed products to the recreational boating industry, announced today that it has acquired Trend Marine Products, the Norfolk, United Kingdom-based manufacturer of high-end marine glazing.

In announcing the acquisition, Dennis Flint, president of the Taylor Made Group, commented: "We have always held Trend in very high regard for the quality of their products and their customer focus. We are delighted to have the opportunity to put our two companies together to create a truly global supplier with a very much enhanced product range."

All of Trend’s operations will remain at its base in Norfolk, and Andy Jobbins, managing director of Trend, noted: "Operational management of Trend will remain as it was prior to the acquisition. We believe that joining forces with Taylor Made will strengthen Trend’s market position and enable us to better serve our many valued customers and growing market in the USA."

Trend will retain its manufacturing facilities, product lines and customers but will operate as a division of Taylor Made Systems, based in Gloversville, New York. Randy Parker, president of Taylor Made Systems, said: "It is important to understand that there is very little overlap between the product ranges of the two companies. Taylor Made has traditionally served the high-volume market in the USA whereas Trend’s principal customers are high-end motor yacht manufacturers in the UK and USA. We are confident that each company can learn from the unique expertise of the other to deliver improved products and services to our many customers around the world."

Since its founding in 1973, Trend’s ownership has remained with Ted Brewster and Derek and Tim Leveridge. Commenting on the sale Ted Brewster said: "Trend has been our lives for the past 31 years, so the decision to sell was not taken lightly. The time is right now for us to step aside, spend more time with our families and let the new owners and existing management team drive the company forward. On behalf of the shareholders I would like to thank our customers, employees and suppliers for their support and loyalty over the years and wish them all continued success in the future."
