TAYLOR MADE SYSTEMS INTRODUCES NEW WINDSHIELD
WITH CONTINUOUS CURVED STAINLESS STEEL TOP TRIMS

GLOVERSVILLE, NY — November 17, 2003 — Taylor Made Systems has introduced the first contoured windshield system with a continuous weld-free stainless steel top trim for a clean, flowing appearance and stronger construction.

"We have taken advantage of new techniques for bending large stainless steel and aluminum structures, based on technology originally developed for the aerospace and aviation industry," said Mike Oathout, vice president, sales and marketing. "As a result, we are now able to bend longer stainless steel components to virtually any 3D contour, eliminating welded joints and caps to cover exposed joints."

The new continuous contoured windshield system, which is designed for boats 17 - 80 ft., is made with marine grade 316L stainless steel top trim, hand polished with a #8 mirror finish, and aluminum or stainless steel bottom trim with a patented "J" trim system.

Oathout said, "A growing trend in our industry is the use of continuous one-piece windshields. We have been making continuous aluminum frames for several years, and we are now able to manufacture stainless steel trim in this manner as well. This means our boatbuilding customers can stay in tune with today's customers, who prefer cleaner and more flowing lines."
