Taylor Made Systems utilizes proprietary, in-house glass tempering and furnace operations at our facilities in Payne, Ohio; Bradenton, Florida; and Templemore, Ireland. Our ability to transform raw glass sheets into curved, wraparound, tempered safety glass windshields gives boat manufacturers maximum design flexibility, providing a competitive advantage.
Innovation
Aerodynamically designed in Clear Curve® and CrosCurve™ compound curves or single axis curves, new generation glass shapes bring fresh styling to your project. We will work with your engineering and design staff to assist you in innovating your form and function criteria. We can work with all major CAD systems or blueprints, or we can measure your mocked-up design with our state-of-the-art CMM equipment.
Flexibility
Create your own special "look" working with the many glass configurations (two-piece, three-piece, fixed or vented center, walk-thru door, vented wing). We are able to offer a design to fit your needs. Taylor Made® mechanical windshield systems are classified by type and size of metal framing system. Clear Curve® and CrosCurve™ tempered safety glass standard models are available in the separate Clear Curve® catalog, where over 70 shapes and sizes of windshields are available to the OEM boatbuilder. Modular construction and semi-flexible panel joints make for efficient deck installations.

Taylor Made® Systems is a fully integrated OEM supplier. We are constantly investing in new technologies to bring a higher level of refinement and sophistication to the final product. Our tempered glass capabilities can create the larger-than-ever curved windshield shapes demanded by boat designers.
Clean Curve® Glass
Clean Curve® Glass is designed and engineered with today’s yacht builder in mind. Taylor Made® ClearCurve® tempered safety glass is manufactured using start-of-the-art equipment engineered by Taylor Made® Systems. Our horizontal bending equipment is specially designed to manufacture large sections of tempered safety glass with “tong-free technology.” Tong-free glass is widely used in yachts where the design calls for “direct-bonding” of the glass to the fiberglass structure. Tong-free glass limits the amount of glass distortion and is available in 90-300" radius.
Thermal Performance Coatings
Taylor Made® Systems provides a full range of exciting new high thermal performance coated glass products.
These products offer two advantages. First, these durable coatings provide improved thermal performance of the window system, which will generally reduce the air conditioning requirements in the cabin. Second, these coated products come in a wide range of attractive colors that can be used to enhance the appearance of the glazing systems for the vessel.
These products can be designed to have ceramic frit boarders and are offered in both flat and bent applications.
